Officer: Good morning, Student Housing Office, Megan speaking. How can I help you?

Student: Hi, I'm calling because I'd like to find some accommodation for next term. I'm an international student starting in September.

Officer: Of course. Let me take a few details first. Could I have your full name, please?

Student: Yes, it's Daniel Foster. That's F-O-S-T-E-R.

Officer: Thank you, Daniel. And do you have a student ID number yet?

Student: I do. It's 4-0-2-9-7-6.

Officer: Great. Now, what kind of accommodation are you looking for? We have halls of residence on campus and also a list of private rentals.

Student: I think I'd prefer a hall of residence, at least for the first year. It seems easier to meet people.

Officer: That's a popular choice. The on-campus halls offer single rooms, and most of them include breakfast and dinner. The weekly cost is one hundred and forty pounds.

Student: That sounds reasonable. Are the rooms self-catered or catered?

Officer: The ones I mentioned are catered. We do have self-catered flats too, which are cheaper, but those tend to fill up quickly.

Student: I'll go with the catered option then. Do the rooms have internet?

Officer: Yes, all rooms have free wifi included in the price, and there's a shared kitchen on each floor for making snacks.

Student: Perfect. What about the location? Is it far from the science building?

Officer: Not at all. The nearest hall is called Riverside Court, and it's only about a five-minute walk from the science building.

Student: That's ideal because I'm studying chemistry. When would I be able to move in?

Officer: Move-in day is the twelfth of September. You can collect your keys from reception any time after two o'clock in the afternoon.

Student: Good to know. Is there anything I need to bring with me on that day?

Officer: Yes, please remember to bring your passport for identity checks, and a copy of your acceptance letter.

Student: I'll make sure I have those. And how do I actually reserve a room?

Officer: You'll need to complete the online application form and pay a deposit of two hundred pounds to secure your place.

Student: Is the deposit refundable?

Officer: It is, as long as there's no damage to the room when you leave. You'll get it back at the end of the year.

Student: That's fair. One last question — is there parking available?

Officer: There's limited parking, but I'd recommend using the bus, as the campus shuttle is free for residents. If you'd like, I can email you the application link right now.

Student: Yes, please. My email is daniel.foster@email.com.

Officer: Lovely, I've just sent it. The deadline for applications is the thirtieth of June, so try not to leave it too late.

Student: Thank you so much for your help, Megan.

Officer: You're very welcome. Have a good day, Daniel.
